Keep the Family Promise Box City
Homeless Event in mind for 2014

Once a year Family Promise of Lawton hosts an overnight event designed to call attention to the situation of homelessness in the Lawton area. Participants will experience a small example of what it is like to sleep in a cardboard box, be without standard conveniences, and have only soup for dinner. We invite individuals to inquire about the fund-raising event, invite corporations to consider supporting the event with a corporate sponsorship, and invite community volunteers to assist with the project.

Date: April 4th and 5thr 2014, Veterans Grove, Cameron University

Time: Construction of individual box "homes" can begin as early as noon on Friday and should be complete by the time the event formally opens at 4:30 p.m.

Registration Cost: $25.00 per individual sleeping overnight on April 4th

Corporate Sponsorships: Underwriting sponsorships range from $100 to $4,000. Corporate sponsors will be publicized at the site and in Box City publications.
